Brunch Links

Good morning. The weather today will be mildly cold (47/32), of course, however, there will also be some rain in the mix. Exciting. It’s good to see so many people circulating the video of John Stewart schooling CNN. It is simply a horrible, horrible company. A spring orecchiette, courtesy of Monroe St. Bistro.

Cardinal: MPD/MFD request more staff in city budget.

Herald: Former head of progressive FACES slate resigns from ASM due to attendance issues. Also, a true college paper, the Herald puts “public debates possible beer tax” as top story.

A new song about coasties is gaining ground on campus.

You have got to be kidding me: this is the picture the Cap Times uses to precede this corny semi-endorsement of Barbara Lawton.

Ald. Jed Sanborn continues his crusade against city spending.

Finally, Madison thieves went after something of value: “A sandwich delivery guy making a delivery early Monday morning was punched in the head and had the bag of food taken from him on the west side, Madison police reported.”

Democrats use meeting of Jobs Committee to cite numbers about economic gains, while Republicans cite other ones to paint a decidedly uglier picture in Wisconsin.

And Republicans are pissed off about auto insurance.

Eric Schmidt feels bad for the girls who are essentially hooters girls for AXE. And Hannah Shtein is back! Talking about three year olds sexually harassing teachers.

Predictably, conservatives are blaming Democratic tax policies on the departure of a Kohl’s distribution center, but wouldn’t it be easier to simply blame it on Herb Kohl?
